It was a very successful yagna. The devotee priest is very very good. Although he was a little sick, he orchestrated the yagna very carefully and dedicatedly. He also, last year at Narashima Yagna, did an extraordinary service. How do I know this? Well, last year at Narashima Yagna and now at Gauranga Homa, I felt a deep sense of satisfaction, deep in my heart, which lasted for several days. That means Krishna was very pleased.
That does not mean that the other priest at the other yagnas was not good, on the contrary, he is very attentive too.
But, you asked for my honest opinion and this is my honest opinion, the priest at Gauranga Homa did an excellent Yagna. Maybe his devotional service is better and Krishna is more pleased with him. I do not know. But it is not just about professionalism, there is something else that determines the outcome of our activities, including the yagna, and that is how pleased Sri Krishna is with our devotional service, the effort we put in, our sincerity, etc...
Although Krishna is pleased with even a small devotional service, to encourage the devotees, Sri Krishna reciprocates accordingly, little or big.
It is known from the sastra that the success of a yagna is also given by the devotional qualities of the organizers, but especially, by the devotional qualities of the priest. Although, in this age the main yagna is the sankirtana yagna, or the chanting of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra, still these yagnas that you are doing are very welcome, because they bring a little comfort to our hearts, and to our lives in this age full of difficulties and with a very burdensome atmosphere. At least that is the atmosphere in the cities where we live. Please continue with these yagnas.
